Jonathan Greene always knew writing was in his blood. He grew up as the son of author and composer BB Johnson AKA Joseph Greene who wrote Together Brothers and Across the Alley from the Alamo. Drawn towards cartels, crime, and drugs Jonathan completed his first serious undertaking in his early teens. After an underwhelming critique from his father’s friend, Saul David (Director of Logan’s Run and Fantastic Voyage) Jonathan put down the pen and it was years before he picked it up again.

Once Jonathan resumed his writing career he came to us after talking to several podcast booking agencies. He was new to the world of podcasts and wanted to work with a supportive and collaborative team who would not only book him on aligned shows but would help him make the most out of each opportunity. Jonathan travels frequently and found his session with our audio consultant invaluable for guiding him with the set up he needed to be able to deliver podcast interviews when he was away from home.

Jonathan Greene: I found a company because I wanted to do podcast interviews. We had a long conversation. I said I believe we can work it together until I said my book was fiction. And she said, Jonathan, did you say your book was fiction? I said, yes, my book is fiction. She said I’m so sorry. We don’t do fiction books.

Jonathan Greene: We don’t do fiction authors. I said, really? After all that time, that was a big hurdle because there were not too many people in the space of actually sending up podcast interviews for fiction book writers. Now, I talked to a few other companies and probably five or six other companies to try to set up something.

Jonathan Greene: Because I wanted to get my book out there ahead of time. We set up a whole funnel system with the computer. That’s a whole nother thing. But I wanted to get my book out there.  I finally talked to Victoria and we had a one-on-one. And Victoria put together a plan, and you guys have to understand.

Jonathan Greene: At first, I wanted to stay in the background. I didn’t wanna really do these podcasts, but sometimes you have to change with the times. Victoria she set me up with her people and we came up with a whole plan to move forward a marketing strategy for the next six months. And.

Jonathan Greene: She had me do fake interviews to prepare myself. She wanted to find out more about me because she didn’t want people to just know about the book. She wanted people to know about the author, and they put together a strategy. We went back and forth and agreed upon it, and in the long run, that strategy paid off.

It was a pleasure to work with Jonathan to help him grow his author platform and get his book into the hands of the readers he wrote it for.
